Aloe Kaya Hiking Trails

BASE CAMP HIKE

29 December 2023 – 2 January 2024

We celebrated New Year’s Eve and the New Year with a memorable experience at Aloe Kaya in Mpumalanga.

This 6.8-km point-to-point trail near Waterval Boven, Mpumalanga. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 27 min to complete. This trail is great for backpacking, camping, and hiking, and it’s unlikely you’ll encounter many other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. You’ll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren’t allowed on this trail.
