HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER

The club is founded on the principles of friendship, kindness, respect, and gratitude. Our club’s EXCO Members and Hike Leaders volunteer their time to maintain a high level of professionalism.

We believe in an attitude of gratitude. Showing gratitude is one of the healthiest and most powerful things we can do for each other.

 

Before joining as a club member, the applicant is expected to have a good understanding of the Centurion Hiking Club Code of Conduct & Guidelines as well as the club’s Rules and Policies, which can be found at https://centurionhikingclub.co.za/rules/

 

Please note that membership is not automatic and does require approval. Our Administration Team will review your application, and we’ll let you know if you’ve been approved to join. 

 

Our Membership Fees for 2026 (01 January 2026 to 31 December 2026) are as follows:

Ordinary (18 years and older) – R275 per adult

Pensioner (65 years and older) – R245 per pensioner

Student – R175 per student

Teenager (13yrs to 17yrs) – R125 per teenager 

Child (12 years or younger) – R50 per child

Membership fees are allocated towards covering the running and operational costs of the club as well as your annual membership card. The club’s running costs includes vendor fees, website and email hosting, office supplies and equipment, telephone data and calls, etc. 

 

Payment terms:

Payment details will be sent to the applicant once membership is approved and fees are payable upon approval.
