GUIDED DAY HIKE @ Rietvlei Nature Reserve

The Centurion Hiking Club enjoyed nature the best way possible; on foot. Highlights included a close up view of the dam, where fish eagle, black chested snake eagles, hippos and even otter was seen. We explore the ruins of an old movie set at viking village, before heading north into the plains of the witkoppies, home to large herds of plains game and rhinos. We then take a break at the birding mecca at Marais dam, before heading back towards the coffee shop, along the banks of the Rietvleispruit.
